The BWF World Tour Super 750 tournaments often attract top-ranked shuttlers from all over the world. These tournaments have substantial prize money along with ranking points on offer.
Thirty-two players and pairs travel to six countries to feature in six Super 750 tournaments. So here are the six BWF World Tour Super 750 tournaments organised in badminton.
1. China Masters
Ever since the Badminton World Federation (BWF) introduced the World Tour series in 2018, the China Masters is part of the Super 750 level. It is one of the four initial tournaments to be part of this level.
China has been hosting this event since 2005, with Beijing staging the inaugural edition. But from 2023 onwards, Shenzhen is hosting the China Masters in November every year.
China’s legendary shuttler Lin Dan is the most successful player in the China Masters, with six singles titles to his name.
2. Denmark Open
The Denmark Open is second on the list. It is one of the oldest badminton tournaments, with its inaugural edition taking place in 1936.
Before the BWF included the Denmark Open in the Super 750 tournaments, it was part of the Super Series from 2011 and 2017. Since 2007, the event has been taking place in Odense in October every year.
Morten Frost and Tonny Olsen are the most successful players in the Denmark Open, having won eight singles titles each in men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
3. French Open
The French Open is more than a century-old badminton tournament, though it wasn’t a major event for almost 100 years. But in 2007, the BWF added it to the Super Series before making it part of the Super 750 level.
The French Open is the second tournament in the Super 750 circuit, as it takes place in March every year. Former women’s French shuttler Yvonne Girard has won six singles and doubles titles each.

4. India Open
The India Open is one of the two badminton tournaments the BWF upgraded to the Super 750 level in 2023. Before that, the Indian event was part of the Super 500 level, which comes below the Super 750 level.
The India Open has been taking place in the capital city, New Delhi, since 1973. This event opens the Super 750 level every year, with New Delhi staging the tournament in January.
Some of the top Indian shuttlers, like Prakash Padukone, Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu, Srikanth Kidami, and Lakshya Sen, have won the India Open title.
5. Japan Open
The Japan Open started a decade later, in 1942, after the India Open and has been a top drawer among the best shuttlers.
From 2025 onwards, the country’s capital city, Tokyo, will stage the Japan Open. The tournament is an annual fixture, as it takes place in August every year.
Lee Chong Wei and Chung Myung-hee are the most successful players in the Japan Open, with six top finishes each in men’s singles and mixed doubles disciplines.
6. Singapore Open
The Singapore Open is the last tournament on this list. It’s almost a century-old tournament, having been established in 1929, though it was more like a national championship contested among the local players.
But in 1990, the event opened the doors for international shuttlers, making it one of the major badminton tournaments. The Singapore Open is the other tournament the governing body elevated to the Super 750 level in 2023. It takes place in June every year.
Ong Poh Lim is the most successful player in the Singapore Open, as he won nine men’s singles and mixed doubles titles each.
